Move-Out Inspection Checklist

To better assist you in your Move-Out Inspection, listed below are the items that we will check at your walk-through appointment. We hope that this will help you.  We have provided you with a check off place, so that you can check each item off as you complete the job.

KITCHEN
 Refrigerator:
 Clean the outside, front/sides, and behind
 Clean grate on bottom of refrigerator
 Clean racks free of any substance
 Clean rack holders
 Clean crisper, inside/outside
 Clean under crisper
 Clean freezer
 Clean freezer door/shelves

Stove/Oven:
 Clean stove top and sides
 Clean drip pans
 Clean under stove top (lift top)
 Clean vent hood completely
 Clean oven with cleaner, remove all oven cleaner residue and stains
Helpful hint:
Place a bowl of ammonia in center of oven, place dishrag in ammonia hanging off the side of the bowl and touching the bottom of the oven. Leave racks in place.  Let this sit overnight.  You should be able to wipe the oven and racks clean without scrubbing the next morning.  A stubborn spot can be removed with a Brillo pad.

Cabinets/Counter tops:
 Clean inside/outside, and drawers
 Remove contact paper
 Clean counter tops, remove all stains with cleaner

Kitchen sink:
 Clean with cleansing powder
 Clean faucets and handles

Floor:
 Sweep and mop including under refrigerator

BATHROOM
Tub/Shower:
 Clean with ammonia and Brillo pad, remove all soap scum
 Clean faucets and handles

Commode:
 Clean inside/outside, under seat lid, around base

Sink:
 Clean inside and around vanity

Cabinet:
 Clean inside/outside.  Remove contact paper

Floor:
 Sweep and mop


VENTS:
 Dust and clean

LIGHT FIXTURES:
 Dust and clean

CARPET
 Must be professionally steam cleaned throughout the unit.  Be sure to clean along the baseboards.  Must be the last thing that you do.  Must not appear to have been walked on.

WALLS
 All holes must be patched and painted.  Normal wear and tear accepted.  You are responsible for painting your unit if damage is beyond normal wear.

WINDOWS/WINDOW SILLS
 Clean windows with spray cleaner
 Clean window sills

SCREENS
 All missing and damaged screens are the responsibility of the tenant

FIREPLACE
 Remove all ash and dirt

PATIO/PORCH
 Sweep all patios/porches and remove trash

STORAGE ROOM/ LAUNDRY ROOM
 Sweep/mop floor
 Remove all lint, dust and dirt
 Clean hot water tank (remove dust)

KEYS
 All keys must be turned in at CHECK-OUT.  This includes any mail keys
